My name is Cleio and I am a working-from-home mother (WAHM).

My primary occupation is looking after my children and my home, but when they are asleep or otherwise occupied and the chores are done, I work from home to make a small income. Mostly, my work is based on writing, as this is where my skills lie.

I wasn't always a WAHM. I started off a wife and a PhD student, then became a doctor of history and a mother at more or less the same. Financially, it made sense for me to stay at home and look after my daughter. But one kid somehow became two.

I'm happy looking after my children, and indeed grateful that we're in a position to offer them a home with the case of a full time parent. At the same time, I needed something else in my life. For my self esteem, I wanted to have some work of my own. Though not looking to become financially independent again, I wanted a small income.

And so my search for ways to do a bit of work while the kids are asleep began. On this blog I will chronical my experiences, in the hope that they might be of some use to others.

There are many websites like this one, but most tend to be based in the United States. As many of the methods used there don't work world wide, I focus on what can be done in Europe, and particularly, Ireland.

In time, I hope this blog will become a good resource for those wanting to make a small income by working from home.
